Susan Reed - Music and Stories
Programs section

Susan Reed

Susan’s training as a classical violinist as well as her gift in engaging family audiences in the joy of song and story make her the perfect candidate for enriching Family Orchestra Concerts throughout the country. She is skilled in score reading and narrating traditional material, and also brings her own work to the stage.

In collaboration with composer Michael McLean, Susan has orchestrated many of her songs as well as her award winning original story, Cranes, a tale of peace and unity. In each orchestration Susan sings or tells as she plays banjo, guitar, or dulcimer. The sheer presentation of her unique combination of talents inspires young people to pick up and instrument, write a story, write a song, to live a life filled with art.

Art is vital.

Offerings:

Songs can be combined to form a 20 minute presentation, or a song can be paired with the story, Cranes.
